Non-English Speaking Background (NESB) Immigrant Women in the Australian Workforce
[ send me this paper ]

But in light of maintained immigration levels over the past decade, the path towards changing the negative perceptions of NESB immigrants within the workforce is imbedded not only in a system designed to enhance language skill development, but also to dispel the myths related to their lack of skills and their long-term impacts on the job market. Post-Taliban Women's Rights And Government Implementation
[ send me this paper ]
6 pages in length. Despite the fact post-Taliban efforts have attempted to provide some semblance of women's rights in an era of expanding free speech and other civil liberties, those rights may exist in thought and limited application, but they are in constant struggle with the governmental forces that want to maintain a patriarchal ceiling on the extent to which women realize any significant departure from their traditional gender roles. Inasmuch as the barricade toward women's rights "remains deeply rooted in traditional Islamic culture" (Witte, 2005, p. A24), it stands to reason how the nearly seven short years since Taliban rule was overturned is hardly enough time to completely wipe out hundreds of years of gender oppression; as such, the government is not entirely keen on the idea of women's emancipation in virtually any way. Bibliography lists 10 sources.

Serving Class Of The Nineteenth Century England: Treatment Of Women
[ send me this paper ]
14 pages in length. Chosen as the inferior gender by some unwritten code centuries ago to which society has adhered unchallenged, nineteenth century British serving class women found themselves under the control of societal dictates and prejudicial pecking order established solely by a patriarchal society. The psychoanalytic perspective of teaching women to depend upon everyone else but themselves speaks to the fact that they did not possess the necessary and intrinsic qualities to maintain their own singular existence. History has demonstrated that if it were not for the presence of the British man, the woman would hold no individual value; instead, she was to remain in association with male control in order to have any semblance of significance. Messages like these that permeated throughout the minds of young and impressionable British girls served to form their thoughts and perceptions for the future; with such lessons demonstrating how difficult life can be without appropriate patriarchal influence, young girls were spoon fed inaccurate and highly damaging information with regard to their own self worth and capabilities that remained in the forefront of their adult lives. Bibliography lists 13 sources.
